Overview

Background: Accantia is a brand owner and manufacturer, operating in the two distinct areas of Feminine Hygiene and Health & Beauty, predominantly in the UK and South Africa.

The Feminine Hygiene (“FH”) side of the business includes the manufacture and supply of tampons and feminine care products under the “Lil-lets” brand, as well as being the largest supplier of retailer branded tampons, towels, pant liners and incontinence pads to the UK market.

The Health and Beauty (“H&B”) business supplies a comprehensive range of toiletry products for men and women under the “Simple” brand.  Key product areas are facial skincare (wipes, cleansers, toners and moisturisers) and soap (bar and liquid).  The business also has two well-known soap brands Wright's and Cidal.

ICG provided a mezzanine loan and bond for secondary management buyout to support Duke Street Capital.
